One of my passions in life is interior design. I spend numerous hours on Pinterest scrolling through hundreds of images of beautifully decorated homes. Drooling over the pictures of perfectly planned and decorated rooms where everything is in its place and every corner of the room looks like it should be in Elle Decoration magazine.
In our new house, I have, so far, been enjoying decorating each room with different colours and styles. In the kitchen, I have gone for a vintage/industrial look. In the lounge, I have gone for Golds, Creams and Pinks and in Lj’s bedroom, I’ve gone for lots of pinks! The boy’s room is currently a mix of boating and Super Mario (Don’t ask!)
The one room that I am really struggling with is our bedroom. I originally wanted to go for a peacock colour theme but I have since gone off this idea! My new idea is a mix of boho/boutique hotel which I’m not even sure is possible to pull off but I’d like to give it a go.
Boho Boutique Bedroom
Here are some of the ideas I would like to incorporate…
I love the bold colours in this room but I also like the fact that the layout is symmetrical with the two bedside tables and lamps (like you would find in a hotel room). I also love the painting above the bed. I’m going to try and recreate something similar myself in our main bathroom.
I also like this room, which is very similar to the one above. I think I’m drawn to the bright colours!
The problem I’m having is trying to incorporate a colourful bohemian style into a formal boutique bedroom.
I’m not sure I can pull it off but I’m willing to give it a go.
Oh I think you could do it, bring a bit of luxury boho items into it to help bring it together. Look forward to seeing it!
I’m hoping it’s going to look okay Steph. Normally I have such a concrete idea in my head of how I want it to look but with this I’m kind of winging it as I go along.
Love your inspiration picks! SO bright – perfect for a dull Monday morning x
Glad you like them. I’m a real fan of bright, bold colours in interior design.
