Last week for my upcoming Gatsby party I was focusing on getting my invites ready. This week I’m focusing on the fun part, decorating! I’ve gone with a Gatsby theme. Think lots of gold and black.
I’ve been lucky enough to work with a company called Party Packs to make this happen.
‘If party supplies are what you are after Party Packs have it all, from a wide range of decorations to ideas for any themed fancy dress party or event’
They have a great selection of party gear and for ease of finding a particular theme you can simply scroll through their ‘select a theme’ section. They have everything from specific age birthday items to casino nights and the wild west. Obviously for my Gatsby party I went down the 1920’s route.
I chose the following…
- Gold Balloons
- Black Balloons
- Gold Balloon String
- A 9ft gold tinsel door curtain
- Gold fringe
- 3 gold pom pom decorations
They also sent over this fab 1920’s banner which I think will look great above the fireplace in the party room.
I can’t wait to get it all up now and see how it all comes together!
My aim with the balloons was to cover a large amount of space for as little money as possible and I thought balloons would be the best way to achieve this. I’m aiming for something like this all over the ceiling…
The gold fringe will go up around the large bay window and the tinsel curtain on the entrance door.
This is the ceiling in the room that we are having the party in…
I can just see the gold and black balloons floating up there with the gold around the windows. Can’t you?
