Last weekend I was lucky enough to be invited to not 1 but 2 festivals both on the same day! In the morning I traveled up to Somersault festival in North Devon to meet Jerry from the SoChill Circle.
‘The SoChill circle has been heading to various festivals all over the UK for the past 3 years, offering a unique experience for festival-goers to drop by, chill out, soak up the atmosphere and watch some top notch entertainment. SoChill is the perfect place to be able to get an entertainment fix, chat with your friends, and generally chill out!’
The SoChill circle is still relatively new but they have some fantastic ideas to expand in the future including fun photo booth areas, inflatable games and live bands.
Our Day at Somersault Festival
To start the day my friend and I were treated to a massage and a bit of cupping!
Loved the massage, not too convinced with the cupping, it left some rather nasty bruises on our skin which we are still sporting today (a week later!) Although saying that it did sort out my trapped nerve that has been bothering me for months so I guess it’s not all bad.
The Food at Somersault Festival
After we’d finished in the relaxation area we had some yummy lunch from Humble Pie.
Their pies are fantastic!
We then sat chatting in the SoChill circle discussing what it’s all about. Apparently the SoChill guys were at 5 different festivals that day!
Somersault Festival
When we finished we got a chance to check out the rest of the festival and I must say that I was really impressed. I’ve been to quite a few festivals in my time and this one definitely had the best atmosphere. Really calm, chilled out and very child friendly.
I’d love to go back next year with my two and stay for the weekend. Jack Johnson was headlining that night but unfortunately we didn’t get to see him *cries into hands* as we had to leave to go and review the next festival in Plymouth. It’s a hard job but someone’s got to do it 😉
Here’s a few more pics from the day…
If you are going to any festivals this year make sure you keep your eye out for the guys in the SoChill area and go and say hi.
